An armed-robbery suspect is in custody after fleeing to Georgia on Monday morning.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Joshua Lee Fowler is facing an armed robbery charge in Anderson County, and other charges in Greenville County, after he stole a car in Greenville city limits before robbing the Dollar General on Highway 76 in Anderson County.
Fowler left the scene and at a high rate of speed traveling to Georgia. Authorities were notified of the stolen car and managed to stop it in Lilburn, Ga.
According to the ACSO, Fowler admitted to the armed-robbery crime and is in custody. He will be brought back to Anderson County and to face charges pending in other jurisdictions.
