The Anderson County Deputy who was shot during a traffic stop along I-85 on April 20 has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home with his family.
Deputy Alex Albrecht was shot after arriving on the scene as backup to a fellow officer who had initiated the traffic stop.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office has teamed up with a non-profit called Serve & Connect to help ease any financial burdens on this deputy and his family.
“We’re so grateful that many people in the community have reached out wondering how they can help,” said ACSO Public Information Officer Shale Remien.
