At their April meeting, Pelzer Town Council approved first reading on a town-wide speed limit of 15 MPH and adopted rules of procedure for purchase orders.
The town-wide speed limit will apply to all town-owned roads. Second reading will be held at the next meeting of council on May 12.
Council also approved an emergency ordinance prohibiting certain sex offenders from being present in public parks and recreation areas. The emergency ordinance will be in effect for 60 days.
