The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Scott Leland Helton, 35, Belton, with Burglary First Degree and Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree. According to SLED arrest warrant, Helton used aggravated force to accomplish sexual battery during the commission of a burglary in Belton on June 28, 2024.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.
Helton was booked into the Anderson County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
