Julia Clanton was sworn in to serve on West Pelzer Town Council during the council meeting on May 12. Clanton was the top vote getter in a special election held on April 21 to fill a vacant seat on West Pelzer Town Council. The seat which was vacated when councilman Rick Sanders won a special election held in January following the resignation of former Mayor Jim Riddle.
