A Williamston man died Wednesday in a motorcycle wreck on Campbell Road.
According to reports, Anderson County 911 received a call at around 6:30 pm regarding a motorcycle wreck on Campbell Road at Catbird Court in Pelzer. Responders arrived on scene to find one deceased patient.
The Anderson County Office of the Coroner identified the victim as David Lee Cantrell Jr., 56, of Williamston.
Preliminary investigation shows that the victim was driving on Campbell Road when he lost control of the motorcycle, went off the left side of the road and was ejected. The victim was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The scene is under investigation by Anderson County Office of the Coroner and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
