Anderson County 911 received a call just before 12:30am Monday (May 25) morning for a single car accident on Five Forks Road in Pendleton. Responders arrived on scene to find one deceased patient and two other people injured.
The Anderson County Office of the Coroner identified the victim as Spencer James Martin, 16, of Anderson.
Preliminary investigation showed that the victim was a front seat passenger in a car that was driving on Five Forks Road when it went off the side of the road and struck a tree.
The incident was investigated by Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
