A 57-year old Townville man died in an industrial accident Monday.
According to reports, Anderson County 911 received a call at 1:45pm on Monday for an incident at Industrial Warehouse Service on Pearman Dairy Road. Responders arrived on scene to find a male victim that had succumbed to his injuries.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Anthony Mark Lamattina III
of Townville.
Preliminary investigation showed that the victim was helping unload a truck with another coworker who was using a forklift. The materials that were on the forklift began falling and pinned the victim underneath the pallet.
The incident was investigated by Anderson County Office of the Coroner, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, and OSHA.
Lamattina was a volunteer fireman with Double Springs Fire Department.
