The Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the City of Anderson Police Department are investigating the suspicious death of a man that has been ruled a homicide.
According to reports, Anderson County 911 received a call just after 12:30 pm on June 2 for regarding a deceased male at 2503 East North Avenue.
The Anderson County Office of the Coroner identified the victim as William Daniel Chandler, 61, of Anderson.
Preliminary investigation shows that the victim was involved in an altercation with another person at his residence.
An autopsy, in conjunction with the investigation, was conducted last Wednesday and revealed the cause of death is multiple traumatic injuries, and the manner of death has been ruled homicide.
The incident remains under investigation by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the City of Anderson Police Department.
