The Anderson County Office of the Coroner is investigating the death of a six-year-old child who drowned in Anderson Monday.
According to reports, Anderson County 911 received a call just before 9 pm regarding a missing child on Dickerson Road in Anderson. Responders arrived and began searching for the child and discovered her in the pool in the backyard of the home.
The coroner’s office identified the victim as Kynzie Tyaira Dennis, of Anderson.
Preliminary investigation shows that the victim was visiting a home for a birthday party when she wandered outside and got into the backyard pool, went underwater and never resurfaced.
The death has been ruled accidental.
Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office investigated.
