Maxie Craigo
West Pelzer – Maxie Lowell Craigo, 85, husband of 66 years to Connie Joy Davis Craigo, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
Born in West Pelzer, he was a son of the late Arthur Lowell and Ann Marie Tumblin Craigo. He retired after 37 years of service from Stevens Aviation as a jet mechanic and was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Tammy Renee Craigo Smith (Ronald); grandchildren, Ronald Trent Smith (Stacy) and Amber Briane Ford (Chase); great-grandchildren, Levi Jackson Ford, Holland Rae Ford, Lukas Edward Ford, and Turner Stephen Smith; niece, Rollanda Crooks; and nephew, Bryan Craigo.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Arthur Tony Craigo and James Sammy Craigo.
The family received friends Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 – 11:15 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with the funeral service followed at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial was at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Betty Walling
Betty Ruth Gilstrap Walling of Pelzer, 81, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at her home.
Born in Clinton, she was the daughter of the late Roy Douglas Gilstrap and Jennie Ruth Owens Stevens. She was formerly employed with EZ Trip Marathon and a member of Trinity Baptist Tabernacle.
She is survived by sons, Tommy “Mike” Harrison and Kenny Erwin; 5 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and special cousin, Brenda Smith.
Visitation was held June 15 at Trinity Baptist Tabernacle with the funeral service followed at 12 pm in the church. Burial was at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Sue Campbell
Pelzer – Eva Sue Burgess Campbell, 80, wife of the late Jerry Lee Campbell, went to her Heavenly home, Friday, June 12, 2026.
Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Reed and Eva Gertrude Roberson Burgess. She was a homemaker and attended New Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed rocking on her porch and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by nieces, Lynn Chasteen, Joann Eaton, Debbie Ashley, and Cindy Kirkpatrick; nephews, Ronnie Eaton, Doug Rhodes, and Tony Burgess; four grandchildren, and son-in-law Nate Olney.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by stepdaughter, Mary Olney; sisters, Lib Eaton, Willie Mae Cantrell, Nora Jean Rogers, and Lydia Fay Rhodes and brothers, Silas Grady Burgess and Lawrence Ray Burgess.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 20, at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, Pelzer with visitation to follow.
