Anderson officials are investigating the death of a man who died Monday after being shot. According to reports, Anderson County 911 received a call just before 3:15 pm regarding a man that had been shot on Double Oak Court in Anderson.
Responders arrived on scene and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was treated on scene and taken to AnMed where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving.
Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore identified the victim as Jamiah Sentell Carson, 33, of Anderson.
Preliminary investigation shows that the victim was involved in a domestic altercation at his home that escalated to shots being fired. The death has been ruled homicide.
The incident remains under investigation by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the Anderson City Police Department.
