Anderson man fatally injured while changing tire after wreck – Pearman Dairy Road

A twenty-four-year-old Anderson man died Monday after being hit by a vehicle on Pearman Dairy Road in Anderson.
According to reports, Anderson County 911 received a call just before 11 pm Monday night regarding a car hitting a pedestrian on Pearman Dairy Road. Responders arrived on scene to find two victims that had been hit by the car. One male was transported to AnMed and the other victim succumbed to his injuries on scene.
The Anderson County Office or the Coroner identified the deceased at Tyheim D. Pickens, 24, of Anderson.
Preliminary investigation shows that the victim was involved in a prior wreck that had disabled the vehicle he was in. He was attempting to fix a tire on the car when he was struck by a vehicle traveling on Pearman Dairy Road.
The death has been ruled accidental.
The incident was investigated by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
