Mary Ridgeway
Mary Ridgeway, of Greenville, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026.
Born in southern Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James M. Ridgeway. Mary was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Martha Ridgeway; her brother, William D. Ridgeway and his wife, Ruby H. Ridgeway.
Mary retired from Campbell Tile Company where she enjoyed many years of service. She was a valued member of the firm and served as Secretary-Treasurer.
She was an active member of Northgate Baptist Church and former long-time member of Daventon Baptist Church in southern Greenville County.
Mary is survived by numbers of cousins and friends that she loved and appreciated.
Visitation was held from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown. A funeral service, officiated by Reverend Warren Peden, immediately followed at 2:00 p.m. in chapel. Burial was held in Daventon Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Fellowship Northgate, 633 Summit Drive, Greenville, SC 29609; Daventon Baptist Church, 312 Daventon Road, Pelzer, SC 29669 or to a charity of one’s choice.
Leonard Lewis
Ralph Leonard Lewis of Belton, 73, husband of Rhonda Gay Bannister Lewis, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Grady Guy and Frankie Sue Bearden Lewis. He was a retired machinist and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Kelli M. Ellis and son, Thomas L. Lewis; sisters, Sharon Bailey and Susan Slaton; brother, David Lewis; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The family received friends June 30 at Beech Springs Church with a memorial service followed at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

William Green
William Gilbert Green of Williamston, 78, husband of Marina A. Khvatkova Green, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026.
Born in Fort Worth, TX, he was a son of the late Harold and Aline Hattie Simmons Duncan. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from Interim Home Healthcare.
Bill was a caring father, grandfather and husband. He served his country with pride in the Air Force and had a long successful career as a physical therapist.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Eric Green and Brian Green; brother, Gene Green; sister, Kathleen Lamb; sister-in-law, Ann Hill; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 7, at 2:00 pm at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

Hulon Blythe “Sonny” Rhodes, Jr., of Pelzer 87, passed away June 23, 2026, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Anderson, he was the son of the late Hulon Blythe Rhodes, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Davis Rhodes. Sonny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1961-1965. He retired from Michelin Research Center in 2001 after 20 years of service and devoted his life to his family and the people that he loved. He is survived by his beloved granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren, who brought him so much joy; and a brother, Douglas Rhodes.
A graveside service was held June 26, at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Jack Roger Grant of Pelzer, 72, husband of Patricia Ann Peck Grant, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026 at his home.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Harry Lee and Audrey Kathleen Hall Grant. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Kemet. Jack was a member of Oak Pointe Baptist Church, Pelzer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Nathan Grant and Jesse Grant; daughter, Tyra Grant; brother, Ken Grant; four grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 3, at 2:00 pm at Oak Pointe Baptist Church.
