Nonpartisan Candidate filing for Anderson County Board of Education, Anderson County School Trustees, Williamston Town Council, Ward 1 and Ward 2, Piedmont Public Service District Commissioner, Watershed Conservation District Commissioners and Homeland Park Water District opened on August 3 and will remain open until August 17, at noon.
All are nonpartisan offices which will be voted on in the 2026 General Election.
There are no filing fees for these offices. Each candidate at the time of filing must fill out a Statement of Candidacy form. The deadline for filing is August 17 at 12 noon.
Filing for the County Board of Education Districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6.
Filing for Anderson County School Board Trustees includes: School District 1, Areas 1, 4, 5, 7; School District 2, Areas 1, 3, 4, At-Large; School District 3, Areas 1, 4, At-Large; School District 4, Areas 2, 4, 5 and School District 5, Areas 2, 5, 6, At-large.
Homeland Park Water District has three seats to fill.
Piedmont Public Service District has three seats to fill.
Candidates for Watershed Conservation District Commissioners for districts located solely within Anderson County will file in the Anderson County Registration & Elections office.
Included are Big Creek – 3 seats; Broadmouth Creek – 2 seats; Brushy Creek – 3 seats, Three & Twenty – 2 seats.
Multi-County candiates will file at State Election Commission.
Books will also be open for two seats on Williamston Town Council, Ward 1 and Ward 2. The filing fee for the office of Town Councilman is $50.
