Jessica Elizabeth Chastain, 35, of Williamston passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Terry Morgan and Terri Keeler Chastain. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include brothers, Zachary Chastain and Hank Chastain; sister, Tracie Perkins; nieces and great nieces and nephews.
The family received friends August 2 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with a memorial service followed in the mortuary chapel.

Clarence Arthur Doolitte
Clarence A. Doolittle, 77, of Piedmont SC, was called home July 20, 2026.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Glenna Doolittle; children Michele Doolittle, Keith Doolittle, Michael Doolittle, Clarence A. Doolittle II, and Chris Lusk; siblings Jimmy Doolittle, Katherine Hall, and Tony Doolittle; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was a faithful member of Bessie Road Baptist Church, where he found strength in his relationship with God and fellowship with his church family.
His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply.
Lillie Mae Standard
Lillie Mae Brazeal Standard, 87, of Honea Path, widow of Forster J. Standard, passed away peacefully Monday, July 27, 2026, with her family by her side.
Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Charles Perry and Ollie Mae Luther Brazeal. She was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith.
Survivors include son, Forster “Steve” Standard daughter, Lisa Purvis; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will received friends August 3 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with the funeral service followed in the mortuary chapel. Burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Vera “Jo” Childress (Leverette)
Vera “Jo” Leverette Childress, 82, of Piedmont, South Carolina, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 26, 2026, with her devoted husband by her side.
Born in Enoree, South Carolina, Jo was the daughter of the late Adjer Joshua Leverette and Nora Mae Bentley Leverette.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Samuel “Sammy” Childress; son, Bobby Meaders and wife, Beth; daughter, June Meaders; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
Her legacy of love, generosity, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A graveside service was held July 30 at Greenville Memorial Gardens in Piedmont, South Carolina. The family received friends at Southside Baptist Church in Piedmont, South Carolina.
Kim Williams
Beverly Kim Williams Custalow, 69, of Pelzer, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Earle and Catherine “Cat” Ann Crompton Williams. She was formerly employed with AnMed Medical Center as a unit secretary on the cancer floor and Linda’s Flower Shop as a florist. She was a member of Emerge Church formerly Pelzer Weslyan Church. Kim loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters, Hope Patterson and Ashley Evans; and five grandchildren.
A visitation was held August 3 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with the funeral service followed in the mortuary chapel.

Tim Cothran
Timothy Lee Cothran, 64, of Williamston, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026.
Born in Montgomery, AL, he was a son of the late Henry Tilman and Betty Ann Chapman Cothran. Tim retired from BMW after 20 years of dedicated service.
Above all, Tim’s greatest love was his family. He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather who treasured every moment with his son, Mitch, and his grandsons, Bryce and Cameron. They were the light of his life, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with them.
He is survived by son, Mitch Cothran; girlfriend, Teresa Harris; sisters, Amy Cothran and Pam Bryant; brother, Steve Cothran; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was held July 31 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. A graveside service followed at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Tom Thompson, Sr.
Melvin “Tom” Fredrick Thompson, Sr., 81, of Piedmont husband of the late Bonnie Mae Stowe Thompson, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026.
Born in Stapleton, NE, he was the son of the late Gilbert B. and Norma Mildred Hughes Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a U.S. Army veteran, owner of Thompson’s Body Shop in Piedmont and attended Agape Baptist Church.
He is survived by sons, Melvin “Tom” Thompson, Jr. and William “Willie” Lee Hawthorne; daughters, Karen Storey and Brandie Smith; sister, Linda Anderson; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 7 from 2:00 to 3:15 pm at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with the funeral service following at 3:30 pm in the mortuary chapel. Burial will be in the Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mac Stewart
Malcolm “Mac” Ian Stewart, of Pelzer, husband of Elizabeth “Liz” Garnett Stewart, went home to be with the Lord with a smile, at peace, and with his loving family present on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
Born in Canada, he was the son of the late Herschel Johnson and Helen Mae Allison Stewart. He was formerly employed with Piedmont Honda in Anderson and a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Cody Stewart, Kelsey Blauvelt, and Trenton Stewart; four grandchildren; and sister, Judy Bills.
The family received friends at Trinity Baptist Church with the funeral service followed at the church.
