Head-On Collision on Snow Road Claims Lives of Two Drivers
Two Anderson men were killed in a head-on collision Thursday evening on Snow Road at Deer Creek Trail. The Anderson County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as Shaquan Akeem Thompson, 32, and Ronnie Lee Holder, 47. According to the preliminary investigation, Thompson was driving a black Ford Mustang that crossed the center line and collided head-on with a silver Nissan Sentra driven by Holder.
Broadway and Whitefield firefighters extricated both drivers from the wreckage.
Medshore Ambulance Service, a QRV, state troopers and the coroner’s office responded. Both men died from multiple traumatic injuries, and their deaths were ruled accidental. The crash remains under investigation by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
