The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Texas man in connection with the burglary of a Wells Fargo ATM that occurred in Belton earlier this year.
According to the ACSO, during the early morning hours of Feb. 7, deputies responded to the Wells Fargo ATM located in the Ingles parking lot in Belton after receiving a report of a burglary.
When deputies arrived they found the ATM had been forcibly broken into and sustained extensive damage. A large amount of cash was stolen during the incident.
Following a months-long investigation, detective identified Marlo Andre Theriot, of Houston, Texas as the suspect. An April 20, detectives obtained warrants charging Theriot with Safecracking, Grand Larceny of $10,000 or more and Malicious Damage to Property (more than $10,000).
On June 5, Theriot was extradited from Harris County, Texas to Anderson County, where he was served with the outstanding warrants. He is currently in the Anderson County Detention Center being held on a $100,000 surety bond.
