Anderson County has been selected to receive grant funding from Palmetto Pride to enhance local litter enforcement efforts and combat illegal dumping.
The grant will support the purchase and deployment of new surveillance cameras at illegal dumpsites throughout Anderson County. Technology will provide Environmental & Code Enforcement officers with an additional tool to identify offenders, gather evidence and strengthen enforcement of litter laws.

Our partnership with Palmetto Pride underscores our shared commitment to keeping Anderson County clean, safe, and beautiful for all residents.”
Illegal dumping and litter negatively affect neighborhoods, waterways, roadways and the overall quality of life in the community. By expanding surveillance capabilities, Anderson County will be better equipped to investigate problem areas, identify those responsible for illegal dumping and deter future violations.
