Two-Mile Yard Sale – West Pelzer & Pelzer
West Pelzer and Pelzer will hold their Two-Mile Yard Sale on Saturday, Oct. 3.
The community-wide event will stretch from the West Pelzer Fire Department to Betty Boops in Pelzer, creating a two-mile route filled with yard sale stops, local shopping and plenty of opportunities to hunt for bargains.
Organizers are encouraging residents, businesses and community members along the route to participate by setting up sales and helping make the event a large community turnout.
Shoppers can expect to find a variety of items, including clothing, furniture, antiques, tools, toys, household goods and more.
The event is being promoted as “Two Towns, One Great Community” and is designed to bring West Pelzer and Pelzer together while encouraging residents to shop local, support neighbors and enjoy a day of treasure hunting.
Junk in Your Trunk
Treasure hunters and bargain shoppers can also check out the Junk in Your Trunk yard sale, being held this Saturday.
The event is free for shoppers and will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park. During the event, the park will be closed to walking traffic only.
Spots are still available for selling. Vendor spaces are $10 each and must be reserved in advance. Spaces may be purchased at Williamston Town Hall during regular business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Online registration is also available at EnvisionWilliamston.com under the “Payments” section. The online cost is $13.20, which includes the card processing fee.
Envision Williamston and the Town of Williamston are inviting residents and businesses to take part in the annual Fall & Scarecrow Decorating Contest.
Displays may be set up through Oct. 2. Online voting will begin Oct. 5 and continue through Oct. 23.
Applications are available at Williamston Town Hall or online at EnvisionWilliamston.com.
“We are looking forward to seeing this year’s creative fall and scarecrow displays throughout the community,” organizers said.
