A member of the Anderson County Technical Rescue Team attempts to get a safety rope to three men as they cling to a tree in the Saluda River Sunday. The men were stranded in the middle of the river after their boat sank near Dolly Cooper Park in Powdersville Sunday. Emergency workers from Anderson and Greenville County rescued the trio and their dog. Assisting were the Powdersville Fire Department, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and Pelzer EMS.
