Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following incidents:

PELZER

Feb. 8 – M.L. Branyon and B. Surratt made a traffic stop at Hwys. 8 and 29 and subsequently arrested William Lewis, BM, 63, for DUS. He was taken to ACDC.

PIEDMONT

Feb. 9 – P.D. Marter was dispatched to 522 Jenna Lane where Curtiss Tolbert reported that someone had heavily damaged his Ford truck with a heavy object, like a sledge hammer, as well as keying several areas. They also stole a chain saw from the truck. Total losses were estimated at $2700.

Feb. 9 – K. Evatt responded to 103 Goldfinch Court where Bobby Beauford reported that he had recently moved to that location, and that when he went back to his prior address to move a storage shed that belonged to him, it was gone. The loss was estimated at $3550.

WILLIAMSTON

Feb. 7 – M.L. Branyon and B. Surratt responded to 214 Paulan Rd. where Liliana Mitta stated that her boyfriend, Jose Medina, 42, 5’9″, 225 pounds, had assaulted her during an argument. Her daughter confirmed her story and the case was presented to a magistrate who issued a warrant for Medina for criminal domestic violence.

Feb. 8 – K. Evatt responded to 205 Cherokee Rd. where Nancy Craft reported that someone had entered her vacant home and stolen appliances and HVAC equipment valued at $11,350.

EASLEY

Feb. 7 – J.A. Bannister responded to the WalMart on Hwy. 153 where he took Amanda Massangale, WF, 26, 5’8″, 150 pounds into custody for shoplifting.

Feb.8 – S.L. Steward responded to the WalMart where he took Kenneth Hill, WM, 22, 6’2″, 165 pounds into custody for shoplifting.

Feb. 9 – P.D. Marter responded to the WalMart where he took Lauren Smart, WF, 24, 5’7″, 250 pounds into custody for shoplifting.

Feb. 9 – C.J. Hill was dispatched to 3308 Pelzer Hwy. where James Pelletier complained that Robert Spicer, 6’, 190 pounds, who rented a basement apartment from him was drinking and causing a disturbance. When Hill approached Spicer, Spicer went limp and had to be put in the cruiser. He was charged with breach of the peace and taken to ACDC.
