The Town of Williamston and Palmetto High AFJROTC honored Veterans with a Veterans Day memorial program Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the town’s Veterans Memorial.
PHS AFJROTC Cadets marched from Palmetto High School to the memorial to participated in the service. Mayor Mack Durham welcomed everyone. Pastor Mark Roberts gave the invocation and was guest speaker.
The program included presentation of colors by the Palmetto High School AFJROTC Color Guard, playing of the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
The service included recognition of each branch of service with a medley of service anthems.
PHS Cadets placed a memorial wreath at the Veterans Memorial. Cadet Colonel Megan Klearman read the names of veterans of World War I, Word War II, Korea, Vietnam, and Afghanistan that are listed on the veterans memorial.
