Williamston Police Officers investigated the following:

Mar. 16 – Zachary Earl Taylor, 2868 Gays Circle, Dearing Ga., reported a firearm valued at $100 stolen from him while on East Main Street in Williamston. According to reports the gun was possibly taken by a subject that Taylor barely knew who he was giving a ride. The subject became agitated on East Main and got out of the car, getting his duffle bag from the trunk where the gun was also. The firearm was a black and slilver Rugger ATZP90 double action with hollow point 185 ammunition. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.

Mar. 20 – Shea Rogers, 7 Ellison St., Williamston reported her husband Daniel Keith Rogers of the same address was bitten by a neighbor’s dog. According to reports the incident began when two stakes put out by Rogers to separate property from their neighbor were missing and Rogers went to 11 Ellison Street to get them. A tan bulldog exited the residence, chased Rogers to his front porch and bit him on the leg. The owner of the dog, Jason Webb, then allegedly threw a log at Shea Rogers, missing her and shattering the front window of the residence.

When officers investigated at 11 Ellison St., Amanda Scott answered the door and told officers Webb and the dog had gone for a walk. Officers found Webb and the dog inside the residence in the bathroom. Webb stated his dog did get out but denied it bit anyone. He also denied that he had broken a window. A warrant was issued for Webb for malicious injury to real property for breaking the window. Damage to the window was estimated at $200. Scott was arrested for interfering with police and transported to ACDC. M. Beeman investigated.

Mar. 20 – Natasha Ray, 27, 11 Edgewood Ave., Williamston reported an orange purse with $500 in cash and drivers license, a Ryobi radio and Jump Box with air compressor taken from her locked vehicle. S. N. Robison investigated.

Mar. 21 – Richard Jerry Reid, 52, 987 Griffin Rd., Belton was arrested and cited for driving under suspension and failing to yield right of way to a pedestrain after a green Kia Sorento was observed failing to yield right of way to a pedestrian at the crosswalk on East Main St. K. Anthony investigated.

Mar. 21 – Tyler Lee Crook, 25, 111 Arden Rd., Pelzer reported a chain saw valued at $400 and a miter saw valued at $160 missing from an unlocked building at 104 Graham Court in Williamston. Z. T. Parks investigated.
