Walker – McElmoyle and Three and Twenty firefighters work at the scene of a two vehicle accident on Old Greenville Highway on Sunday morning. A Ford Mustang apparently crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck. The driver of the truck then left the scene on foot but was found by authorities later. The driver of the Mustang who was critically injured was pinned inside the wreckage and had to be cut free by firefighters. The driver was then rushed to Greenville Memorial Hospital Trauma Center by LifeFlight helicopter. Pendleton and Pelzer Emergency Medical Services also responded to the wreck. The SC Highway Patrol is investigated and Anderson county deputies assisted troopers in locating the pickup truck driver. (Photo by David Rogers)
