One person was injured in a three vehicle wreck on US 29 North Friday evening. A car traveling south on US 29 was waiting to make a left turn onto Griffin Road when a sport utility vehicle struck a compact car in the rear knocking it into the rear of the car waiting to turn. The driver of the compact car had to be cut from the wreckage by Whitefield firefighters. That driver was taken to AnMed for their injuries by Belton EMS. The other two drivers were not injured.
