Twelve people escaped serious injury after a three vehicle chain reaction pile up on I-85 north near Powdersville on Saturday night. The accident happened near the intersection of Highway 153. Traffic was diverted to one lane until the wreckage was cleared. All of the occupants of the three vehicles were checked by Pelzer EMS but refused transport to the hospital.
