DHEC reporting 393 new cases statewide

On Monday (Sept. 21) the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 393 new confirmed cases and 14 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. DHEC also reported 13 additional confirmed deaths and no new probable deaths.
Anderson County reported 16 new cases and one COVID related death.
Greenville County reported 35 new cases and three COVID related deaths.

This brings the total number of confirmed deaths to 3,040, and 172 probable deaths.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC Sunday statewide was 4,120 (not including antibody tests) and the percent positive was 9.5%.

DHEC also reported 764 COVID patients in hospital beds. Of those 199 are in ICU and 112 are ventilated.
