Winter Wonderland/Park Lighting to be held Sunday

Envision Williamston and Town of Williamston will hold the second annual Winter Wonderland event on Sunday, November 27.

The “Williamston Winter Wonderland” event will include Christmas tree lighting at Town Hall, Lighting of the Christmas Park and Deck the Halls at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Williamston Municipal Building.

Activities will also include free carriage rides through the park, carolers, Santa in the Scout Hut, reading of “the Birth of Christ” and “Night Before Christmas” by the Mayor.
A Holiday Market Fair will be held from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Williamston Christmas Parade will also be held on Nov. 27 beginning at 4 p.m.
Horse drawn carriage rides are being sponsored by the Palmetto Business Association and will feature two carriages offering free rides through the park from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Carriages will load and unload in front of Town Hall.

On opening night only, a portion of West Main Street in front of the park and East Main to Mill Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The Christmas Park will only be accessible via carriage or foot traffic that evening.
Handicap parking will be on Minor Street behind Sassys Sues. (Must have handicap sign).
The Anderson Districts 1 & 2 Career and Technology Center (ACTC) pulse radio station will also be at Winter Wonderland.
