For the first time anyone can remember, the 2022 Williamston Christmas Parade was held on Thanksgiving weekend in conjunction with the second annual Winter Wonderland event. Girl Scouts from Girl Scout Troop 3429 led the parade carrying the parade banner.
The event included the Christmas parade, a holiday market in Town Hall, special tree lighting service and lighting of the Park and Deck the Halls. The parade and all of the other activities were well received by area residents who came out to be a part of the festivities.
Girl Scout Troop 3429 includes Holly, Lucy, Lily, Ava, Peytin, Vanessa, Abby, Corah, Tinsley, Ayden, Raylee, Jillian, Emma, KayKay, Emmalyn, Josi, Xitali, and Co-Leaders, Ashley and Claire. “They have supported our parade for several years by carrying the parade banner,” said parade organizer Sherri Cole.
