Cheddar firefighters assisted Belton, Friendship, and Honea Path early Sunday morning on a structure fire. The old condemned building that was once part of the Abney Mill complex on Smythe St. in Belton was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
