Piedmont firefighters and a Prisma Health ambulance responded to a wreck Friday afternoon at the intersection of Bessie Road and Old Pelzer Road. A vehicle left the roadway and collided with a traffic light control box. The driver was taken to Prisma Health by ambulance. The traffic lights were knocked out and we’re not restored until late Friday night.
