Workers began clearing trees and brush for a roundabout along Highway 29 on Monday. It will be located at the intersection of Highway 29 and Welcome/McAlister Roads. The intersection has been the site of many wrecks over the years. No word on the completion date. Utility relocation work and road construction activities will be underway at Cantrell Road, Crappie Drive and McAlister Road. S&S Construction, Inc. of Anderson is overseeing construction activities.
