Williamston firefighters and police responded to a wreck on East Main St. in the McDonalds parking lot (Dec. 23). After finding out there were no injuries firefighters were cleared by police. Some type of disturbance broke out. Anderson County Deputies and Belton Police Officers responded as backup for Williamston officers. At least four individuals were “detained” and a firearm placed in a police car.
