For Anderson County, Iva, and Belton Farmers Markets

Anderson County Seniors may apply for produce vouchers as part of the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program.
The Anderson County Senior Citizens Program and the Anderson County Farmers Market, in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Social Services and other state agencies, will issue vouchers to eligible senior citizens June 5-7.
The voucher will allow seniors to purchase produce at participating farmers’ markets through October 15, 2024. Eligible seniors will receive five $10 vouchers. Vouchers are issued first-come, first-served until the supply is exhausted.
The vouchers will be good at the Anderson County, Iva and Belton Famers Markets.
Individuals aged 60 or older, with a low monthly income, or who receive SSI or EBT benefits are eligible for these free coupons. Individuals must apply in person; and provide proof of their identity, age, and their Anderson County residency. Applicants must also meet household income eligibility limits. Information regarding the income of all household members is required to determine eligibility.
This year, seniors will register at the following Farmers Markets for vouchers. Seniors will receive the vouchers at registration. Volunteers will be available to assist seniors in registering for their vouchers.
Applications will be accepted from 8 – 10 a.m. June 5 at Iva Farmers Market; June 6 at Belton Farmers Market and June 7 at the Anderson County Farmers Market.
The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program’s goal is to supplement the diets of low-income seniors with fresh, nutritious produce while supporting South Carolina’s farmers.
