After being rained out Friday night, Mother Nature showed her good graces on the 32nd annual Spring Water Festival with cooler temperatures and sunny skies on Saturday. “A good crowd and a steady crowd” enjoyed the festival and all it had to offer, said festival chairman David Meade. A thunderstorm and heavy rain on Friday forced the cancellation of  a beach music show which had approximately 700-800 people attending.

“A good crowd was there and the threatening weather hit the area just as the Original-Out-of-Towners were scheduled to play,” said Meade. “Everyone was disappointed the show was cancelled but that is the way it is when you are outside. On Saturday the weather was as good as it gets in August,” Meade said.

Food and craft vendors saw great sales and the park had a steady crowd throughout the day. New handmade directional signs helped visitors navigate the park to enjoy the festival.
