Investigators with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office are looking for suspects believed to be involved in two separate larcenies from Cell Site Technologies, located on Old Williamston Road in Piedmont.

During the late evening hours on December 31, unknown subjects made entry through the electric gate which surrounds the business and stole several hundred pounds of copper wire and a 2003 United enclosed trailer which contained numerous power and hand tools.

Two days later, subjects cut through a woven wire fence on the property and removed an undetermined amount of copper wire and conduit. Evidence indicates the property was moved several hundred yards from the site, loaded onto a pickup truck and hauled away.

Video provided by a neighboring business depicts a truck and two individuals who may be involved in the thefts. One individual is wearing a very distinctive jacket.

Deputies are also looking into several thefts that occurred in the Old Williamston Road area on Friday, January 9.

Per the incident reports, in the early morning hours on Friday thieves broke into eight unlocked vehicles parked on Amberwood, Olivarri, Aycock Drive and Cresta Verde Road.

Items taken include gloves, GPS devices, a pistol, a wallet and even a box of Krispy Kreme® doughnuts. Surveillance provided at one residence indicates that a group of three to four black males may be to blame.

Anyone with information concerning these thefts or the identity of possible suspects is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (864) 260-4400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
