South Greenville Fire Department will be hosting a celebration of 50 years of service to the community. The event will be held on May 2 at South Greenville Fire Department Headquarters located at 8305 Augusta Rd. Pelzer from 1 p.m. until 4 pm.
There will be a Special Ceremony at 2 p.m. with invocation by Rev. Shane Donald and welcoming by South Greenville Fired Department Chief Ken Taylor. Guest speakers will include Rep. Eric Beddingfield, Vice Chairman Greenville County Counsel Butch Kirven, and South Carolina Firefighters Association President Joe Palmer. The public is invited.
