The Town of Pelzer and SC USDA Rural Development will hold an information meeting Wednesday, May 30 at 6 p.m. to provide information to Pelzer homeowners about grants and loans for home repair financing.
Pelzer Councilman Eddie Waits is working with SC USDA Rural Development to provide residents with information on grant and loan financing for home improvements.
Loans are available for weatherization and modernization improvements including roof replacement of HVAC repairs. Loans are available up to $20,000 at a low one percent interest rate with a 20 year term. to qualify owners must occupy their home.
Grants are available to remove health and safety hazards or make a home more accessible. Grants are available to home owners 62 or older.
