Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:

July 7 – Gene Anthony Agnew, 48, 11 Brown St., Williamston was arrested for public disorderly conduct after officers responded to 329 E. Carolina St. in reference to an alleged assault in which Dwayne Howell reported being shoved by Agnew. Sgt. E. T. Hutchins investigated.

July 6 – William Carols Walsh, 24, 300 Campbell St., #10 Belton was arrested for outstanding bench warrant for assault and battery (3rd) in Abbeville County. Walsh was arrested at 1520 Anderson Dr. (Hardees). Sgt. E. T. Hutchins investigated.

July 6 – Bruce William Mays, 29, 134 Carr Cr. Belton was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intention to distribute after a dark SUV was observed making an illegal turn from North Hamilton St. onto East Main. Reports state a clear baggie containing 4 white pills was found. Capt. E. S. Russell, T. J. Richardson investigated.

July 8 – Jonathan Ryan Kelly, 26, 216 Williamston Court was arrested for outstanding bench warrant with Greenville City. K. D. Lollis investigated.

July 8 – Tommy Houston Snead, Jr., 34, 308 N. Flat Rock Rd., Piedmont was arrested at 13 Poinsett St., Williamston for 12 outstanding warrrants for fraudulent checks. An Anderson County deputy responded to take possession of Snead and he was taken to the sheriff’s office. J. Rogers investigated.

July 6 – Cinthia Darlene Heatherly, 47, 525 Minor St., Williamston reported a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro “keyed” causing $1,200 in damage. J. Rogers investigated.

June 27 – A representative of Duke Power reported an incident of theft of utilities at 3 W. First St., Williamston. The incident remains under investigation. J. Rogers investigated.

June 28 – Sav-Way, 309 E. Main St., Williamston reported a man driving a burgundy Honda Accord paid for $11 in gas and pumped $40 before driving off. K. D. Lollis investigated.

June 26 – Ace Hardware, 29 Pelzer Ave., Williamston reported a white male about 40 years old placed a Craftsman composite ipact wrench in his pants and exited the store. The item was valued at $130. Sgt. D. W. Bryant investigated.

June 19 – Kendra Ann Mack, 40, 6 Park St, Williamston reported a 1990 Crown Victoria valued at $500 stolen from 145 Cherokee Rd. L. E. Mulz investigated.

June 21 – Gregory Wayne McCarson, 48, 1 E Third St,. Williamston was arrested for an outstanding warrant in West Pelzer. Sgt. D. W. Bryant investigated.

June 29 – Anthony Todd Black, 45, 306 Easley Hwy. was arrested for petit larceny and failure to accompany after officers were dispactched to Ellison St. in reference to a man running down the street with a weedeater. The weedeater was recovered at the intersection of Prince St. and Main St. L. E. Mulz, Sgt. D. W. Bryant investigated.

June 29 – Tim Gentry, Town of Williamston reported light fixtures vandalized in Mineral Spring Park. Two plastic globes and one light bulb valued at $156 were damaged. L. E. Mulz investigated.

July 2 – Christopher Ray Alewine, 33, 341 Mize Rd. Belton was arrested for violation of SC gun law, possession of stolen property and driving under suspension after officers observed a white 1995 Toyota Camry in the parking lot of Fast Fuel, West Main St., Williamston. According to reports, the vehicle and driver matched the description of a subject wanted on an attempted murder charge. J. Rogers, B. C. Kelley investigated (See separate story).

June 4 – Christopher Carroll Reid, 32, 218 Williamston Court (evicted) was arrested for theft of power after officers responded to the location in reference to possible drug activity. A power meter for the apartment was found to have a broken seal and was moving. Duke Energy was notified and stated that the power had been cut off at the location on June 4. L. A. Striss investigated.

July 2 – Officers investigated a suspicious person/vehicle and found persons representing Kirby Vacuum Cleaners demonstrating products in the town without a proper business license. K. D. Lollis investigated.
