Williamston Police Officers investigated a number of incidents recently including a donkey and horse running at large and a work van shot with an arrow. Among incidents investigated were: Aug. 28 – While on patrol in the vicinity of School St., and Greenville Dr., officers observed a donkey and a horse at the corner of School St. and Greenville Dr. The animals’ owner Ramona Wesley, of 20 Morrings Drive was contacted and the animals were returned to the pasture.

After securing the animals, Wesley was issued a ticket for animals running at large. Reports state Wesley had received numerous warnings about keeping the animals secured in a fenced-in area. K. D. Lollis investigated.

Aug. 27 – Jerry Johntai Wiley, 28, 108 Market St., Williamston was arrested for criminal domestic violence after officers responded to the location. J. Rogers investigated.

Aug. 26 – Joshua Edward Dockery, 26, 825 Joe Black Rd., #21, was arrested for outstanding bench warrant after officers investigated a nuisance/disturbance reported in the area of Bruce St. M. E. Simmons, Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.Aug. 21 – K&K Construction reported metal rack and pipe valued at $350 missing from a building at 202 Gossett Dr. L. W. Mulz investigated.

Aug. 25 – David Lee Graves, 53, 113 Round Table Ct., Piedmont was arrested for outstanding bench warrant after the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office had him in custody. D. W. Bryant investigated.

Aug. 21 – Tina Renee Thrasher, 42, 239 Long View Dr., Williamston was arrested for outstanding bench warrant after the Belton Police Dept. notified the WPD that she was in custody. Anderson County Sheriff’s Office also had an outstanding warrant for Thrasher. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

Aug. 21 – Johnny K. Eller, 52, 115 Edgewood Dr. Williamston reported a burglary in which force entry was gained to the residence and items valued at $4830 were removed. Missing items include a 52 inch LEd TV, a 56 inch LCD TV, several Nike Tennis shoes and a new Cherry Bomb Turbo Exhaust system. Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

Aug. 21 – Samuel Keith Goss, 419 Belton Dr., Williamston reported two truck wheels and tires stolen from a commercial vehicle. The items were valued at $1000. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Aug. 20 – Main St. Motors, 610 Greenville Dr., Williamston reported multiple items missing from a blue Mustang at the property. Missing items included an Alpine in-dash unit with flip out screen, $1,600; Alpine in-dash crossover with equalizer, $1,400; MB Cord tweeters, $700; Clifford Alarm System, $800; and MB Cord speakers, $500. A truck at the location was also broken into and had missing items. L. E. Mulz, Capt. E. S. Russell investigated.

Aug. 20 – Jason Durrell Sims, 26, 2 Black St., Williamston was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension after a vehcile was observed traveling at a high rate of speed on Tripp St. Reports state officers found a glass pipe used for smoking meth, a straw commonly used for snorting a powder substance drug, and a set of digital scales. During booking officers found a crystal like substance field tested as methamphetamine rolled inside a bill in his wallet. M. E. Simmons investigated.

Aug. 20 – Dollar General, 526 West Main St., Williamston reported an incident in which Wendy Michelle Robinson, 38, 217 Reeves Rd. Honea Path was placed on trespass notice for the store. L. E. Mulz, Lt. T. A. Striss investigated.

Aug. 20 – Tim Gentry of the Town of Williamston reported a vandalism incident at the new Brookdale Park restroom facility in which toilet paper holders valued at $100 were damaged. L. E. Mulz investigated.

Aug. 19 – Matthew Lee Wash, 25, 511 E. Calhoun St. #3, Anderson, was arrested for driving under the influence, liquor law violations and speeding after a white SUV was observed traveling 45 mph in a 35 mph zone on Greenville Dr. B. Rory investigated.

Aug. 18 – Harvey Roundtree, 41, 208 Williamston Ct. Williamston was arrested for outstanding family court bench warrant after officers were dispatched to 100 Williamston Ct. apartments. J. Rogers investigated.

Aug. 18 – Starla Marie Cantrell, 31, 801 Leatherdale Rd., Iva was issued a courtesy summons ticket for speeding 49mph in a 35mph and driving under suspension after a Mitsubishi Rodeo was observed on Belton Dr. K. D. Lollis investigated.

Aug. 17 – Darren Kay Scott, 44, 3 Minor St., Williamston was arrested for outstanding bench warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. J. Rogers investigaed.

Aug. 17 – An abandoned vehicle was towed from Brown St., after a resident reported that it had been parked on the roadway since June. A check of the DMV failed to locate any information about the owner and it was not reported stolen. Codes/Ofc. J. Harris investigated.

Aug. 16 – Anthony Brett Whitlock, 20, 30 Mill St., Pelzer was arrested for driving under suspension after a yellow Chevrolet Cobalt was observed on E. Main St. with one functioning brakelight. Whitlock’s driver license was suspended for failure to maintain proof of insurance. M. E. Simmons, Sgt. K. J. Winn investigated.

Aug. 11 – Andrew John Ambrose reported someone shot an arrow into the side of his work van causing $2000 in damage. SGT/SRO L. D. Ritter investigated.

Aug. 8 – Allan Keith Pepper, 17, 240 Osteen Hill Rd., Piedmont was arrested for driving under suspension after a black Honda Accord was observed travelling 47 mph in a 35 mph zone on Mill St. He was issued a warning for speeding. K. D. Lollis investigated.

Officers investigated several domestic disputes, suspicious persons reports and other incidents in which there were no arrests.
