Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the following incidents:

EASLEY

Nov. 13 – J.T. Smith responded to the Easley Baptist Hospital where he spoke with Krystal Wells, WF, 33, who reported that her boyfriend had assaulted her during an altercation, attacking her with a small helium tank, which he also threw into the television. Wells underwent a medical examination but suffered no serious injuries. Smith planned to present the case to a magistrate.

Nov. 13 – J.D. Sparkman was dispatched to the WalMart where he placed Peggy Coley, WF, 45, 5’4″, 140 pounds, of Fair Play, under arrest for changing the price bar code on a comforter and then trying to pay the lower price. She was transported to ACDC.

PELZER

Nov. 13 – J.T. Smith responded to the CVS pharmacy at 1 Main St. where an employee reported that a tall, slender white male in jeans, white shirt, and a dark jacket had stolen several packs of razors valued at $275. The subject fled on foot and could not be found.

Nov. 14 – R.D. Phillips responded to 15 Smith St. where Lynn Duvall reported the theft of Sc tag # GEZ 955 from her car. The loss was estimated at $30.

Nov. 14 – P.D. Marter was dispatched to 124 Ina Marie Lane where Jackie Blanton reported that she was in the back part of the house when an unknown white male assaulted her, striking her in the face. She said the next thing she knew, a fire had been started in the house. She said that she managed to escape and her neighbors called the fire department, which responded and put out the blaze. There is no suspect at this time.

PIEDMONT

Nov.14 – J.T. Smith was dispatched to 723 Conners Blvd. where Walter Sanders , WM, 49, 6’1″, 175 pounds reported that he and his brother,Allen Sanders, WM, 39, 5’11″, 175 pounds had gotten into a fight. Walter said that Allen had thrown a lamp at him and hit him in the head with a chair. EMS checked both for injuries and Allen was arrested for assault and battery.

Nov. 15 – J.D. Sparkman responded to 321 Beech Island Dr. where Aretha Jackson reported that after she and her boyfriend,Kendrick Cobb, BM, 25, got into an argument he went outside and attempted to set a car on fire. The car belonged to Aretha’s sister, Beauty Jackson. Cobb had left the scene.

WILLIAMSTON

Nov. 13 – D. McQueen responded to 451 Guyton Rd. where Brian Hawkins reported that someone had kicked in his door trying to get in the house. Due to the dogs being inside, nothing was taken. The damage was estimated at $200.

Nov. 14 – Matthew Morgan reported the theft of his four wheeler and a Stihl chain saw from his barn.

Nov. 14 – Deputies Smith, Allen and Evatt responded to 101 Slawson Rd. where Michael Henderson, WM, 64, 6’1″, 225 pounds, gray/blue stated that he and his step daughter, Amy Sullivan, had been arguing when she hit him with a trash can. Sullivan said that she used the trash can to defend herself after Henderson shoved her. She said he also hit her in the face, splitting her lip. Henderson was arrested for assault and battery and transported to ACDC.

Nov. 14 – A.N. Killingsworth was dispatched to 606 Willingham Rd. where Georgia Carpenter, BF 18, 5’5″, 115 pounds stated that she and her boyfriend, Christian Navarro, WM, 18, 5’5″, 150 pounds,had been in a physical altercation. She admitted striking him. He refused to press charges but he had visible injuries, leading to Carpenter’s arrest. Navarro was also arrested after a check revealed that he is wanted on a warrant from Monroe, GA. Both were transported to ACDC.

Nov. 14 – A.L. Gary was dispatched to 1121 Chapman Rd. where Roger Welborn. Sr. reported the theft of tools and building materials from the vacant house he is working on. The loss was estimated at $1700.
