Williamston and Cheddar firefighters assisted Belton and Honea Path firefighters Saturday morning on a house fire. Flames were coming from the Cater Street home when firefighters arrived. One man was taken to AmMed Health by ambulance and later transported to the burn center in Augusta. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Belton Fire Department and SLED.
