Renovated McDonalds holds ribbon cutting – Williamston

Ribbon cutting for the newly renovated McDonald’s of Williamston was held Tuesday morning (Feb. 20). Owner Terry Shugart thanked the Williamston community for the opportunity to be here. The $1.2 million renovation over the last two months included outside and inside and features technology making it one of the most advanced in the upstate and northeast Georgia. Williamston officials including Mayor Mack Durham, Councilman David Harvell, Chris Alexander and Rockey Burgess, Fire Chief Steve Ellison, Police Chief Tony Taylor and others attended the ribbon cutting. The Williamston McDonald’s franchise  was purchased by Terry and Donna Shugart of Hartwell, Ga. in July of last year. Shugart also owns the Belton location and four McDonald’s locations in Hart, Franklin and Elbert counties.
