South Greenville Sheriff’s Debate Dec. 12

The Southern Greenville County Community Watch (SGCCW) is hosting a debate between the candidates running for the office of Sheriff of Greenville County. All candidates have been invited, and Darius Hall, Hobart Lewis, A.T. “Tommy” Smith, Robert Whatley and Sean Zukowsky have agreed to participate.
The debate will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7:00 at The Bridge church, 517 Harrison Br. Rd., Simpsonville. The public is invited.
SGCCW is an umbrella organization representing 10 different Community Watch groups in Southern Greenville County. These groups have been active for the past 10 years, and are generally considered to be the most active Community Watch groups in the county. The several hundred members of these groups serve as the eyes and ears of the community.
“We have conducted previous debates for the 2012 District 28 County Council  election, the 2015 District 26 County Council  special election, the 2016 Sheriff’s election and the 2018 District 26 State House of Representatives election. Attendance is usually from  200-300 citizens,” said spokesperson Durant Ashmore.
