Local businesses are still operating and serving their customers, though some have limited access and all are taking extra precautions during the COVID-19 crisis. These are some of the local businesses that have their services available to their customers:
First Citizens Bank – “The health and well-being of our customers and employees are our top priority,” said Faye K. Meares, Vice President and Financial Sales Manager at First Citizens Bank. “We are operating our drive-thru during normal business hours and are offering limited lobby access by appointment. We are fully staffed and will continue to operate our branch to provide support to our customers. While our lobby access may be limited right now, we are “open for business” and ready to assist our business and consumer customers.”

ACE Hardware & Rental – “Thank you for the opportunity to share with you and our customers the steps we are taking to continue to serve our communities,” said Jim Simpson of ACE Hardware and Rental.
Ace Hardware & Rental in Williamston, and Honea Path Ace Hardware, are both open for business although with reduced hours and limited access into our stores. Our temporary store hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday thru Saturday and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday afternoon.
To protect the health of our associates, we are meeting our customers just inside our front doors to take their orders. We then fill their orders for them and return their order to the registers for check out.
“Although we realize this causes an inconvenience to our customers, we feel it is necessary in order to make every effort possible to protect the safety of our associates,” Simpson said. “We greatly appreciate the understanding of our friends and neighbors as we work though this crisis together. We plan to continue to stay open to serve our community unless we are forced to close our doors. We certainly will return to full service and extended store hours again as soon as it is deemed safe for our associates and customers.”
Upstate Federal Credit Union – “We are still running at full service in order to meet the financial needs for everyone throughout our hometown that depends on Upstate Federal Credit Union,” said Branch Manager Paulette Kirkpatrick.
Our lobby remains open by appointment only.  We are taking every precaution necessary to provide freshly cleaned and sanitized surfaces in all of our buildings.   Our drive-thru remains open as normal.  Our employees are utilizing gloves and recommended sanitation supplies to make sure they remain safe while they work.  The work stations inside are cleaned and sanitized multiple times throughout the day.  Our drive-thru equipment is also cleaned throughout the day to make sure we are doing our part to help contain any unnecessary spread.
“Our digital channels are always open.  We encourage all of our members to utilize our wide array of digital services during this time including online account and loan applications as well as online banking chat.  Our members can always deposit checks via mobile deposit on our app and our members can access over 30,000 ATMs nationwide, free of charge.”
