On Thursday (Oct. 8) DHEC reported 859 new confirmed cases and 61 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. DHEC also reported 12 additional confirmed deaths.
Anderson County reported 41 new cases and one death related to COVID.
Greenville County reported 93 new cases.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 149,219 since the first case March 6, probable cases to 5,536, confirmed deaths to 3,311, and 203 probable deaths.
The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC yesterday statewide was 7,247 (not including antibody tests) and the percent positive was 11.8%.
There are 716 COVID patients in hospitals across the state. Of those 191 are in ICU and 94 are on ventilators.
