SCDHEC Weekend Update – Oct. 16-19

On Monday (Oct. 19) the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 539 new confirmed cases and 29 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. DHEC also reported 11 additional confirmed deaths, and 1 new probable death.

Anderson County reported 22 new cases and no new deaths related to COVID.
Greenville County reported 95 new cases and one death related to COVID.

This brings the total number of confirmed deaths related to COVID-19 to 3,449, and 212 probable deaths.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC Sunday statewide was 4,762 (not including antibody tests) and the percent positive was 11.3%.

There were 697 COVID patients in hospitals across the state. Of those, 182 are in ICU and 92 are on ventilators.

Weekend Update
On Sunday (Oct. 18), the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 722 new confirmed cases and 20 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. DHEC also reported 12 additional confirmed deaths and 1 new probable death.
Anderson County reported 25 new cases and three deaths related to COVID. Two of the deaths were elderly patients and one was middle aged.
Greenville County reported 85 new cases and no deaths.

This brings the total number of confirmed deaths to 3,439, and 211 probable deaths.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC Saturday statewide was 7,011 and the percent positive was 10.3%.

On Saturday (Oct. 17) DHEC reported 810 new confirmed cases and 56 new probable cases COVID-19. DHEC also reported 22 additional confirmed deaths related to COVID and no new probable deaths.
Anderson County reported 33 new cases and three deaths related to COVID.
Greenville County reported 106 new cases and no deaths related to COVID.

This brings the total number of confirmed deaths to 3,427, and 210 probable deaths.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC Friday statewide was 7,069 (not including antibody tests) and the percent positive was 11.4%.

On Friday (Oct. 16) DHEC reported 897 new confirmed cases and 76 new probable cases of the COVID-19. DHEC reported 5 additional confirmed deaths and 3 new probable deaths.
Anderson County reported 37 new cases and one death related to COVID.
Greenville County reported 176 new cases and no new deaths.

This brings the total number of confirmed deaths to 3,405, and 210 probable deaths.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC yesterday statewide was 7,805 (not including antibody tests) and the percent positive was 11.5%.

There were 697 COVID patients in hospitals across the state. Of those, 182 are in ICU and 92 are on ventilators.
