SCDHEC Update – Friday Oct. 30

On Friday (Oct. 30) the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 680 new confirmed cases and 37 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus. DHEC also reported 7 additional confirmed deaths and no new probable deaths.

Anderson County reported 28 new cases, one probable case and one death related to COVID.
Greenville County reported 95 new cases and no deaths related to COVID.

This brings the total number of confirmed deaths to 3,653, and 243 probable deaths.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC yesterday statewide was 4,743 and the percent positive was 14.3%.

There were 777 COVID patients in hospitals. Of those, 196 were in ICU and 93 were ventilated.
