Williamston Police Department is investigating an armed robbery took place at the Fast Fuel on West Main Street Tuesday. Williamston Police officers and Anderson County Sheriffs deputies investigated. The Williamston Police Department is seeking help from the public in identification of the suspect who committed the robbery between 5:30 and 6 am Tuesday morning. Williamston Police investigating Fast Fuel armed robbery

The Williamston Police Department is investigating an armed robbery which took place at the Fast Fuel at 207 West Main Street Tuesday morning between 5:30 and 6 am. According to reports, the suspect pointed an assault rifle at the clerk and told her to “get the money” or he would kill her. He then left the store with $1,687 in cash from the lottery register and the store register, walking toward Mineral Spring Park.
The suspect is described as black male, 5 ft. to 5ft. 7 inches tall, approximately 150 pounds with a black ski mask and blue puffy jacket, gray/blue work gloves and black jeans. He also was wearing black Nike shoes with white bottoms and had a deep voice.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The rifle is described by officers as a short barrel AR-15 style rifle.
Anderson County Deputies assisted and an Anderson County K9 unit was called in. The suspect was tracked on Gossett Dr., to near the train tracks.
Joggers in the area reported seeing a gray or silver sedan parked in the area.
